Verified Overview
County records identify the project as the Curtis Readiness Training Center, Application CUP-02-18. The June 27, 2018 work-session minutes identify Curtis Security Consulting, Inc. as the applicant, 4401 Barham Road as the location, Tax Map Parcel 37-65 as the subject property, and approximately 266 acres as the proposed site.
The July 16 Planning Commission agenda described a proposed tactical driving and training facility with driving courses, firearms ranges, armory storage, Simunition® training areas, and a ballistic shoot house. These descriptions reflect the applicant’s proposal as summarized in County records; they are not independent findings by Transparency for New Kent. The same agenda marked the application withdrawn. The records reviewed do not show a Planning Commission recommendation or Board vote on CUP-02-18.

Current Ordinance Status
