Share a Public Record

Sunshine works best when records are shared.

Have you submitted a FOIA request to New Kent County or another public body?

Have you received government emails, meeting records, contracts, presentations, maps, policies, or other public documents that may help citizens better understand how decisions are being made?

You may share them here for review and possible inclusion in the New Kent County citizen public-record archive.

We are especially interested in:

• FOIA requests and government responses
• Public records produced through FOIA
• Meeting minutes, agendas, and presentations
• Government emails and official correspondence
• Contracts and consultant reports
• Zoning and land-use records
• Economic development records
• Publicly available land and property records
• Policies, procedures, and internal guidance
• Audio or video from public meetings

Please include, when available:

• The original request
• The date submitted
• The agency or office that received it
• Any acknowledgment or cost estimate
• The final response
• All responsive documents

Our standard should be:

NO RUMORS.

NO ANONYMOUS ACCUSATIONS PRESENTED AS FACT.

NO POLITICAL SPIN.

Whenever possible, every published claim should link directly to the source record so citizens can read it and reach their own conclusions.
